Mt. Washington Goal

Mt. Washington is the highest peak in the Northeast and I've committed to climb it during the weekend of  August 12-15, 2010. This is my goal and motivation to get exercising. I started walking "the flats" the rail tail near my house, but I've got to work to up hills the climb is 8-10 miles of hiking gaining 4,000 feet. It is steep.

My baby steps  so far to get there:
  1. Get comfortable in my hiking boots. Wear them some everyday.
  2. Buy new running shoes, so I can start exercising
  3. Create an exercise time 4 times a week.
  4. Set up a schedule of practice hikes with Jennifer.
  5. find some uphill hiking and walking nearby.
